Fallish

I am madly, truly, deeeeeeply in love with the weather we have been having the past week or two. Mid 80’s, zero humidity? LOVE. Not that I’m ready to say goodbye to summer quite yet, but to be able to pull out my fall clothes & dark lipsticks makes me a little giddy.

I’ve been hesitant to try a body chain for a while now… howevs, I saw someone wearing one under a bathing suit, and I thought it looked adorable, then I saw someone wearing one over a bodysuit, and I was like yes ok, I can get away with this… I think. This was my first attempt, hah. I’m kind of really digging it. I may try it under a crop top next. Look out!

Summer is easy because the only thing I typically wear is a sun dress. However, you eventually start to lose yourself in them… all sundresses start to look the same and you begin to miss dressing up. With the arrival of fall we (I) have so many more options. Outerwear ads a whole new layer to the wardrobe that you can play with. This kimono will be worn on repeat all season long. I’ve already tried to wear it pretty much every day, even the hot ones. I’d wear it to work, too, if I didn’t think I’d look absolutely ridiculous or it would get in the way, hah. True story: I found a super cute striped t-shirt last week and I was like, ‘wow, this will look so cute with my overalls!’ so I wore it to work the next day and everyone said I looked like a Chucky doll. Bell of the Bottoms

I am very much into the retro vibes that have been making their rounds lately. When trying this trend on yourself keep in mind that fit and styling is very important. You really want to make sure you keep part of your look modern so you don’t appear outdated.

These flares are waaaaay comfortable! They’re basically leggings, jeggings I guess is the appropriate term really. I’ll be wearing them a lot in the following weeks, months, years.

I jumped at the chance to wear this cape while I could on a particularly warm winter day, ha. In all reality I probably won’t be able to wear it again for a few months but I look forward to it! I’ll be wearing it all summer long as a coverup but for now it works for the 70’s vibe I was going for. Don’t you love when you find pieces like this that work for more than one season? Really get your moneys worth! The kimono is brand new but I can’t find the exact one online. So check out your local store, otherwise I linked to something similar above!
