Wrap Dresses and Wine Glasses

Labor Day weekend is usually a pretty exciting time of the year for me. It’s a long weekend which includes either a short trip, celebrating my best friend’s birthday, quality time with my family, boyfriend, and sometimes if I’m lucky… all of the above! Then, immediately following, the beach quiets down, everyone goes back home for the rest of the year, and my town belongs to the locals once again. I love this time of year. ;] This year I spent part of the weekend at Laurita winery for my best friend, Justine’s, 20…..(something) birthday, haha. I knew this floral wrap dress from Make Me Chic would be the absolute best thing to wear for the occasion!

The winery was absolutely perfect! We were supposed to get hit by Hurricane Hermine over the weekend, which apparently ended up being the Hurricane of Sunshine because the weather could not have been more beautiful. After a quick and delicious wine tasting, we grabbed a few bottles of our favorites and headed outside to enjoy the view and warm weather. Frolicking through the vineyard was a must. Lucky for me, Justine’s boyfriend Dave and her cousin Amanda are both photographers, it was a great opportunity to get a few shots of the dress in action. I had actually worn it the week before with my girls on the boardwalk and then to dinner with my boyfriend so I have a TON of pictures of this dress, haha.

One thing I must mention about this dress, which is probably a no-brainer for everyone else but it was a palm to forehead moment for me… it’s a wrap dress… if there’s even a slight breeze, hello underwear! When my boyfriend and I were walking to dinner my dress flew open… hah. Luckily there was no one around (at least that I could see!) but I had to awkwardly hold onto my dress the whole walk. Next time I wear this I might throw a slip on underneath, just to be safe! Now enjoy some pictures of me and my girls being silly!

I wasn’t lying when I said I had a whole bunch of pictures in this dress! Anyway, it’s comfortable and affordable, and definitely wearable! I can throw this on for dinner and drinks or wear it to the office. What more could you ask for?
