Soaking up the Sun

It’s hard to believe that fall is just around the corner, isn’t it? Usually around this time bloggers start throwing up some fall inspired looks to get you guys all pumped and ready, but honestly, it was 100 degrees outside yesterday. There was NO way my ass was throwing on jeans or a suede jacket, even for 5 minutes. So the summer styles live on!

If you haven’t noticed, I don’t know how to wear anything without getting wrinkles. Unless you carry around your clothes in a garment bag with a portable steamer, like, is it even possible?! Don’t judge me guys. The struggle is real.

I love how trendy off the shoulder tops were this summer. I think it’s a little late to grab one with pom poms or fringe now, but if they’re still in next year I’m obsessed with this one! Holy cute! For only $14.99 it might just be worth throwing in the cart anyway. There’s so many warm days in September, it could still be worth it.sig 2

Cut it Out

I have never fallen so hard in my entire life… and it’s for a dress! This is my favorite article of clothing, ever, of all time. I have to literally stop myself from wearing it every day.

I will say, if you’re going to wear this dress or a dress LIKE it, invest in some boob tape. It’s literally impossible to wear anything this low cut and loose fitting without it. I stopped at Victoria’s Secret and grabbed a pack of their “fashion tape” for just $10. It comes with  a ton of little pieces and they are insanely sticky, I knew I wasn’t going to have a nip slip incident in this little number, which gave me great piece of mind all night, haha.

IMG_8015IMG_8011IMG_8010IMG_8008

The dress runs short, which is nice because I’m a little on the shorter side so I don’t have to worry about it dragging along the floor all the time, however, it would look strange if I wore it with heels so flats are pretty much the only option here. But I’m not mad at it, it forces me to go a little more casual when wearing it. I’m already looking forward to wearing this dress again next weekend, so if you know me in real life I apologize in advance for how often you’re going to see me in this dress this summer, haha!

The Wall Formerly Known as Pink

This wall may look familiar to some people… it used to be my favorite pink wall! Unfortunately it appears as though someone bought the building and thought white would be a cooler color for their business. Womp womp. I’ll miss you hot pink wall!

This shirt is my spirit animal.. is that possible? I love a good graphic tee, and nothing gets the point across faster than this one. I wear this to the gym a lot in hopes that I look really badass and mean and no one will talk to me… haha! Shein has a ton of cute graphic t’s, some a little less bold than this one. I’ll link to more of my favorites below. Happy shopping!

Spring Means a L(not)BD

Everyone knows I love black… I wear nothing but black pretty much 9 out 12 months a year, but even I can get sick of it sometimes. When the weather starts to get warmer I am quick to pull garments out of my closet that are anything but dark. This boho dress from Shein is one of my new favorites I’m sure will be on heavy rotation all spring long!

I’m in the process of moving so half of my wardrobe is still at my old house, BUT, once I get everything in one place I’m going to re-wear this dress with a belt I think. It’s a little bit looser than I thought it would be (I even ordered an XS, they run big!) so I’ll throw a belt on next time to bring in the waist a little bit. When it gets even warmer out I’m excited to wear this with some gladiator sandals too. I am freaking STOKED to break those bad boys out again, by the way! YAY spring!

Show a Little Leg… and Back!

Happy Monday! I’ve been slacking on the blogging the past couple of weeks because I’ve lost all motivation to blog winter clothes. I may have to fly south, or west, next year to avoid this slump again. There’s only so many sweaters and winter coats I can stand to wear before I’m over it, you know? With that said, it warmed up a little bit last week and I jumped at the chance to put on a flirty little dress sans coat, tights, AND closed toes! Spring is in the air guys, get excited!

This post gives me life for so many reasons! The fact that I could walk outside with bare legs and not freeze makes me damn happy. I’ve realized over the past month I’m over wearing jeans. The struggle of trying to match a shirt and bottoms is just something I’ve lost patience for, ha. Dresses are the way to go, throw on one and forget about it, done.

IMG_4530IMG_4528IMG_4557

I’ve been eyeing this dress from Sheinside for so long but kept putting it off because it wasn’t warm enough to wear just yet. I love the fun print and the open back. It makes it impossible to wear a bra, unless you get pasties, but as you can probably tell, I don’t really need one. Womp womp. Anyway! It’s going to be in the 60’s all week and I am dying to get out in more of these little spring ready dresses! YAY.

Wrap Me Up

So as you may have noticed in my last post, I detest winter coats. I really won’t wear them until I absolutely have to, so I’m always browsing stores for a practical alternative. I bought this poncho cardi two years ago on Black Friday at Forever21 and it’s usually one of my go-to’s when I want to be warm but not bulky.

This sweater may be sleeveless but it is SO warm. It’s oversized and cozy so as long as I have some warm layers on underneath I feel zero need to wear a big puffy winter coat. This sweater came in a variety of patterns and colors and looking back on it I should have bought one of each. womp womp. It also made a fantastic pair with this Sheinside turtleneck dress. This dress is so soft and comfortable it feels a little like cheating to even call it a dress, but we all know how much I loved my t-shirt dresses over the summer so this allows me to carry that trend all the way through the fall and winter.

IMG_0385IMG_0384IMG_0386

IMG_0243So when Matt asked me what I wanted for Christmas this year, I said these boots… in every color, haha. I can’t stop wearing them! They’re so damn comfortable and flattering and a great alternative to wearing actual pants I just find myself grabbing them every time I get dressed. I need to add at least one other color to my wardrobe so I can switch it up a little. It’s getting a tad repetitive on here, no? However! Stuart Weitzman can cost a pretty penny, and although it is worth every single one, I’ve linked to some similar styles for WAY cheaper above. Treat yo’self!

Dark and Floral

During the spring and summer months I am not much for the floral patterns, but when the cooler months arrive and the florals take on a deeper and darker look I cannot get enough. I spent hours browsing the Shein website and picked out like 100 different things I wanted. Their prices are insane it’s not hard to do, ha. However, I landed on this dress and a sleeveless trench you’ll see in a later post. I am quite pleased with the pieces I ordered for the price, unfortunately, it took like a year to get to me though. HAH. :[ I suppose I’ll have to place an order of about 100 different things to make it worth the wait next time.

It’s a tad misleading here but there is a crazy deep V in the neckline of this dress. It was so deep I was legit unable to even bend over the tiniest little bit without exposing everrrrrythang. Thank god for a little boob tape, amiright? I am actually quite fond of the deep V but if you’re going to delve into this trend definitely do invest in double sided tape or actual tape made to keep clothes from slipping and sliding all over. It really allows you to play with different garments and add a little fun, if you will, to your wardrobe!

IMG_6185 IMG_6187 IMG_6192 IMG_6193 IMG_6195 IMG_6196

I’m really into this dress because it gives you that wiggle room to dress up or down. Pairing it with these OTK boots just felt right though, ha. On the flip side I could just as easily wear this dress with lace up sandals or even open toe booties with a long cardigan to make it look a little more comfortable and wearable during the day. However, I am not putting these boots away any time soon! I have been wearing them at least once a week lately. Throwing them on over leather leggings and a long flannel has been my go-to recently… perhaps you will see that look soon!
