Sometimes you put something on and you feel like a legit movie star… like no matter where you’re going or who you’re with it will be fabulous because you look so freaking fabulous, how could it not be? This H&M dress was one of those dresses. Unfortunately I bought this dress at the beginning of the summer to wear to an event in the city, and as I was running to catch the train the seem ripped riiiiiight up the back. Needless to say I didn’t make to the event, ha. It took me a while, but I fixed the seem myself and it’s finally on the blog!

So imagine that little slit up the back of this dress going all the way to like, mid butt. It was awful! I’m not gonna lie, I stopped shopping at H&M for a while because there were about a month or two straight when everything I purchased fell apart. Not that you pay an arm and a leg for their clothes, but when you pay anything you want it to last at least one wear! However, my hiatus didn’t last long… I truly do love H&M! ha And I am pleased to report that the things I have recently purchased seem to be holding up well so far, so fingers crossed!
While I’m obviously in love with this outfit, can we talk about the artwork I shot these in front of? There’s an amazing thing happening in Asbury Park right now where they are inviting local artists to come and basically decorate the city. But of course within days of this being completed and these photos being taken, some jack wagons came and vandalized the artwork. I hate people. This is why we can’t have nice things! Like… why? Go home and spray paint your own homes you losers. Ok, end rant.
Remember this necklace from an old post here? It’s still one of my favorites! I actually think about going back to Florida just to stop in that store and go buck wild on their accessories, haha. The bright colors pair perfectly with this coral dress. While I love wearing this dress to events it’s also perfect for a saucy date night. The fabric is light so you won’t sweat and it fits like a glove so it’s super flattering! This particular dress is no longer available, but I linked to similar styles above. Happy shopping!

I used to wear this maxi dress all the time last summer when I was pregnant with Kennedy. It is super soft and comfortable and the elastic band around the waist could be pulled up around my belly. (See the last time I wore it here) Somehow the dress hasn’t been stretched out beyond being wearable so I continue to wear it allllll summer.

I love the delicate detail of this chain necklace from Roman & Sunstone! You can’t reaaallly tell in the picture but the chain is a gorgeous rose gold. I’m always layering on delicates or clunking around in a statement necklace, it’s refreshing to just wear one delicate beautiful piece and give my neck a little break!
Also I feel the need to discuss these earrings and bracelet! I have been lusting after some of the pieces from the Greek Key collection by Roman Luxe ever since I saw Lindsay Calla of Saucy Glossie (at the time) wearing the statement necklace. I’m also part Greek so, I mean, obviously I love them, ha. They are such unique pieces I look forward to styling in a million different ways!
When I threw this outfit on the other day my husband told me I looked like the woman on the Chiquita Banana stickers. At first I was offended but then I was like… well he’s not wrong, haha! What do you think? Should I throw a fruit basket on my head to complete the look?

So I mean… when wearing an outfit like this you obviously go and frolic in fields with your children, right? Because that’s totally what I did here. Charlotte is becoming quite the little helper. She’s even been interested in taking the photos herself lately which has been a lot of fun! I want to get her into as many things early on as I can. I also feel the need to mention that Matt and Charlotte picked out this shirt for me. They have great taste. ;]
Above I’m showing her my ‘signature pose’ as you may call it, ha! Then I’m holding her water for her as she “does her poses for the camera.” How quickly I became her assistant! She runs the show… seriously.
I picked up this skirt when I was picking out an outfit for my South Moon Under party. I knew I wasn’t going to wear it to that event but I had to have it in my life! It was beautiful and when I tried it on I felt so feminine. It’s the kind of skirt you can twirl around in. I wore it during the day with a more billowy white crop top and sandals but switched it up for the evening and added the Roman Luxe cuff. I feel like this skirt is extremely versatile; the kind of bottoms you can throw on a graphic t-shirt and denim jacket with for a more relaxed feel, or a lacy black top and strappy heels to really dress it up and that is why I’m obsessed with it!
Remember those insanely comfortable shirts from Holister I was raving about a few weeks ago? They’re back! I wasn’t kidding when I said I bought a few of them to basically live in… and you should too!

I really can’t even tell you guys how long I’ve been trying to get my hands on this python pendant from Roman Luxe! When I hosted their trunk show at Bloomingdale’s a couple weeks ago I jumped at the chance to get my own and I have been wearing it ever since. It literally goes with everything; a comfy button up, a plain white tee, a solid black crop top and maxi skirt, eeeeeverything. Oh and did I mention it’s on sale? YUP!
I’m still wearing these comfy lulu’s jeans too! I seriously live in these when it’s a little cooler out and I wanna wear jeans instead of a dress or skirt. Between the super soft fabric of this shirt and the insane softness of these jeans it’s like being out in pajamas…it almost feels wrong wearing this out in public. ALMOST.
That’s right, I said it. You can love Monday. Well I mean… if you have a really adorable ‘Monday’ themed t-shirt like this one it really helps.

I’m obsessed with this shirt. I hate Mondays. I love weekends with my family, my hubs, my kids… and by Monday I’m just really sad that the weekend is over. I mean, everyone hates Monday which is why this shirt exists, haha! Thank you Boy Meets Girl for so perfectly capturing the way everyone on the entire planet feels about Monday in just two small words. Wearing this top feels like my personal F U to Monday.
These shoes thouuuuuugh. I am ashamed to admit that I bought them for myself when I was supposed to be out finding shoes for my kids, haha. However! I did grab a pair of sandals for Char but they had ZERO shoes in Kennedy’s size, so it’s not entirely my fault I left with a pair for myself instead. Anyway, I love these sandals. They’re comfortable and edgy, and everything I look for to dress up a casual weekday look.
Normally when I see the color army green I think fall. That isn’t quite the case this year. While the color is still rich and perfect for the crisper months, it’s become quite a thing for spring. I still have to force myself to wear it sometimes as I normally gravitate towards florals and pastels this time of year, but I’m kinda into this lately.

You may not think it, but these Louboutin’s are the most comfortable I own. I have not bought a new pair in some time now because I’m very unhappy with the fit and the changes in them. They’re seriously the most uncomfortable shoes on the planet, ha, but these are not bad at all! Plus I figured the military style booties went perfectly with my army green romper!
I really, really looooove the detail on the shorts of this romper, it’s so cute! This garment in particular is perfect for spring. The fabric is a little bit heavier and the sleeves can obviously be rolled down but the shorts keep it nice and cool so you won’t overheat. And of course the color can take you right into fall so you will get tons of wear out of it!
My husband and I went out for a date night over the weekend and it was an incredibly beautiful night! One of those nights you don’t need to even consider bringing a jacket because it’s not going to cool off. I got a little taste of summer and I’m so excited. It was the perfect night to throw on my new white jumpsuit from Juno Boutique.

I’m big into jumpsuits lately. They can be quite tricky because the fit has to be borderline perfect or else it could be horribly unflattering and unforgiving. I’ve tried on a million since last year and this is the first one I have fallen in love with. I had one from ASOS’s maternity line that I wore throughout my entire pregnancy with Kennedy and I’ve tried to wear it a few times since then and it just looked silly, ha. So I’m glad I’ve found another one I love!
NECKLACE: HOUSE OF HARLOW C/O ROCKSBOX || BRACELET: GORJANA C/O ROCKSBOX || EARRINGS: C/O ROCKSBOX || ARROW RING: C/O ROMAN LUXE || CROSSOVER RING: C/O JUNO BOUTIQUE (similar)
Ok I know you have heard me say this a million times, but I’m keeping this necklace from Rocksbox… seriously this time. I say that about everything they send me but surprisingly the earrings I’m wearing here are the only things I’ve kept so far. I’m adding the necklace to that short list. I am a sucker for anything with layering capabilities and I love the fact that I can double it up or wear it long.
When I tried this jumpsuit on in the store I walked out of the dressing room having a full blown J. Lo moment, I felt so damn fabulous, haha. It was perfect for a fancy schmancy date night with the hubs. I haven’t played with it myself yet but I feel like this jumpsuit in particular could probably be dressed down, too. May have to challenge myself with this one!
I’m taking a survey…. does it feel like Christmas is right around the corner to you? Because it does not to me. After you kind of grow up and stop believing in Santa there are only a few years following that actually have that exciting Christmas time feel to them. I always thought when I had children of my own that excitement would come back but it’s really lacking this year, ha! I think it’s because I’m waiting for a big snow storm… it must be SO weird to celebrate Christmas in a state that doesn’t have winter, ya know? I couldn’t imagine that, nor would I want to!

That awkward moment when your hair matches your necklace…haha! I love this necklace from Sterling Forever. The mix of pink and gold is to die for but the fierce spikes are just SO me. It adds just a touch of edge to an otherwise very feminine and classy outfit.
Matt got me this faux fur coat YEARS ago… I think maybe even our 2nd Christmas together? I’ve always loved it but I rarely wear it because I feel like such a Jersey Housewife in it, haha! Fortunately, fur coats have seem to make a comeback this year so I’m taking great pleasure in breaking this hot little number out of my closet every now and then.
Have you noticed that this is my go-to clutch yet? It’s not even the last time you’re going to see it in my holiday look book mini-series. I’m obsessed with it. So this is another look I might be found wearing on Christmas Eve. As I said in my last post, Christmas Eve is typically the more festive holiday for me, Christmas day and night are much more casual and relaxed. I love the berry hue of this dress, I paired it with my favorite berry lipstick from YSL and black diamond cocktail ring from Roman Luxe. I swooned over this ring for a loooooong long time before it became mine. It’s perfect for the holiday season, isn’t it?
I’ve had this vest for months now and it has just sat in my closet. I had a complete outfit put together in my head, I knew exactly what I was going to wear it with….but I didn’t actually own any of the other pieces to my fantasy outfit and I couldn’t find them anywhere, HA. It wasn’t until I was getting ready to pack all of my maternity clothes away that I found a missing piece; this GAP dress that I wore up until I was 8 months preggo.

I can’t say enough good things about these boots, seriously. Whenever I wear them I instantly feel just a little bit more glamorous. Especially since by the end of the night I’m not limping and hobbling to my car to change my shoes. These boots are legit.
Now that I’ve finally been able to break this vest in I feel like I’ll be wearing it much more. I asked for some outfit suggestions on StyleChat a whiiiiile back and I’m looking forward to taking some of the outfits for a test ride! If anyone can find me a plain white t-shirt with some extra length, that would be fabulous, thank you. ;]

I mean, you had to know this one was coming right? Who is more iconic when it comes to on-screen style than Carrie Bradshaw?
DRESS: FOREVER21 || SHOES: JIMMY CHOO (no longer available) || CLUTCH: TORY BURCH || NECKLACE: H&M (similar here), C/O ROMAN LUXE
When I think of Carrie Bradshaw, pretty much anything goes. I literally could have worn a potato sack with Manolo’s and called it “Sex & the City Chic.” However, there are a few things that stand out to me; spaghetti straps, slip dresses, over the top accessories, killer heels, and clutches. I thought about wearing my hair naturally curly for this post, the one time I really could and get away with it, but the outfit that inspired me was paired with a ‘sock bun’ on the show, so I opted for that look instead.
I was the most nervous about trying to take on this look. Carrie Bradshaw is literally such a style icon that the idea of trying to emulate her was intimidating, to say the least! When it came down to it though, this was so outside of my comfort zone I ended up having the most fun with this one. This is an outfit I would probably never wear out in public, at least not all together, but I kind of love it just the same. Plus I have been dying for an excuse to wear these Jimmy Choo heels I have been lusting over for about five years now that my husband found for me a few months ago! One last pair in my size all the way from the UK! Bless his little heart. Anyway, I’m so sad that this collab is over! I’ve never had more fun blogging than I have this past week.
