Chiquita Banana

When I threw this outfit on the other day my husband told me I looked like the woman on the Chiquita Banana stickers. At first I was offended but then I was like… well he’s not wrong, haha! What do you think? Should I throw a fruit basket on my head to complete the look?south moon under skirt

So I mean… when wearing an outfit like this you obviously go and frolic in fields with your children, right? Because that’s totally what I did here. Charlotte is becoming quite the little helper. She’s even been interested in taking the photos herself lately which has been a lot of fun! I want to get her into as many things early on as I can. I also feel the need to mention that Matt and Charlotte picked out this shirt for me. They have great taste. ;]

Above I’m showing her my ‘signature pose’ as you may call it, ha! Then I’m holding her water for her as she “does her poses for the camera.” How quickly I became her assistant! She runs the show… seriously.

I picked up this skirt when I was picking out an outfit for my South Moon Under party. I knew I wasn’t going to wear it to that event but I had to have it in my life! It was beautiful and when I tried it on I felt so feminine. It’s the kind of skirt you can twirl around in. I wore it during the day with a more billowy white crop top and sandals but switched it up for the evening and added the Roman Luxe cuff. I feel like this skirt is extremely versatile; the kind of bottoms you can throw on a graphic t-shirt and denim jacket with for a more relaxed feel, or a lacy black top and strappy heels to really dress it up and that is why I’m obsessed with it!

TIRED of the Winter Wardrobe!

I have officially had enough. I am not one to complain, I really don’t mind the winter and snow storms AT ALL, but this has been a really long winter and I’m just over it at this point, ha. I’m ready for bright colors, and warm weather, oh and for my baby to get here, DUH! But right now, I can’t help myself, I have to dip into some spring pieces, especially for a date night this past weekend when the temps fell just around 60 degrees.

IMG_0759 IMG_0761 IMG_0762 IMG_0763When I was pregnant with my first daughter, Charlotte, I never wore dresses or shorts. I was super self conscious about my body, which is why I rarely ever blogged. I gained a lot of weight, not a crazy or abnormal amount, just enough to make me feel gross, ha. Now that I’m taking better care of myself this time around I feel a little better, I feel like I can still show off the legs for a little while! We’ll see how I feel next month… ha!

IMG_0766_2 IMG_0770 IMG_0774 IMG_0779 IMG_0784_2I love this dress! The print is fun and the length and fit is super flirty. It literally makes me yearn for Spring so bad! Notice my light blue manicure, too? I really can’t help myself, I’m over winter. I refuse to wear dark nail polish anymore for starters. This shade is ‘Find Me an Oasis’ from Essie, it’s a gorgeous shade of blue.

Being able to wear this dress out without piling on the layers and wearing tights brings me an insane amount of joy! The weather we had this past week was just fabulous. Of course it’s cold again, and will be for the foreseeable future, but I have high hopes Spring is just around the chilly corner!
