A couple weeks ago if you stepped outside you may have been extremely confused. The calendar said January, but the air said September. It was glorious. It was amazing. It was short lived. However, that didn’t stop me from throwing on my new brown leather mini skirt sans tights for as long as I could!

I really don’t mind the cold. It’s terrible when I have to take my children to and from school in the freezing rain or snow, but in all honesty, it doesn’t bother me much. That being said, if I had my choice between a freezing cold winter day, or a warm fall afternoon, it’s a friggen no brainer. Gimme some fall!
I found this skirt on a drive by shopping trip through Forever21. I was on a mission to find something specific, and when that’s the case, you never find what you’re looking for, do you? Nope. So I was about to give up, defeated, when I spotted this gem. As soon as I saw it I knew this shirt would pair perfectly. I thought I’d have to wait months to wear it, surprise surprise!
I suppose I could repurpose this skirt with an oversized knit sweater to make it more weather appropriate. It would seriously be a shame to make it sit in my closet for the next two months while we wait for the temperatures to drop again! Well, until then…
