Lady in Red

With my new career I’ve started changing the way I shop. I have to be smarter about what I spend money on and make sure it has a lot of wearability. This little red dress from Closet London stuck out to me because it’s wearable for a variety of different occasions. I can wear this to the office, weddings, holiday parties… pretty much anything!

This dress is so soft! It’s not one of those fits-like-a-glove dresses, which I’m actually pretty happy about. Sometimes I really need a break from sucking in all the time, hah!

The ties around the shoulder actually tie, which is lovely because it makes them adjustable! Also, it has pockets. Which is a win in my book. I am a firm believer that everything should have pockets. This dress is going to be perfect to get me through the next few months! I’ll be wearing it A LOT.

Date nights (or any night that includes just getting out of the house) have been far and few between lately. When my parents finally came home from Aruba right at the peak of Char’s separation anxiety phase, we jumped at the chance to go out to dinner, even if it was only for like an hour! #parentingproblems

I’ve had this skirt for a few years now but it’s one of my favorites. I love the zipper in the front. My husband always insists I’m wearing it backwards. Sometimes I just wanna hit him… ;]

You can see a little peek of my tattoo! Well, you can see all of the bird, but only a smidge of the music notes. Actually the detail of the back is why I bought this top in the first place. I wasn’t crazy about the fact that it was a crop top, never really knew where I would wear it. But I was sold on the back. I paired it with my high waisted skirt and I think they worked pretty well together.

Roman Luxe has the most amazing cocktail rings! They are so big and blingy and fun! I swooned over all of them, seriously. Aside from my wedding rings I probably wear RL rings the most. Definitely visit their site, they’re having the most amazing sale!

About 2 weeks ago I decided I was going to cut my hair… like.. chop it all off! I was just so sick of having to do so much to it every single day to even get it to look somewhat tame. However, I got a blowout this weekend and changed my mind. Honestly, what the hell was I thinking? Someone must have slipped crack into my cheerios because I never want to cut my hair! hah! I had a traumatic experience in high school and swore I would never cut my hair past my shoulders again. Thank goodness I’ve come to my senses! But with fall coming up so soon I will need to make some kind of change… any suggestions? And on that note, that’s all for now kiddies! Have a great day! Kisses!

Thursday Night Brights

Yesterday was my darling husband’s birthday, so of course I took him out to a little dinner to celebrate! I finally wore a pair of Louboutins I’ve had FOR-EV-ER and haven’t worn in for-ev-er either! They’re probably my highest ones, and I wore them all night for dinner and after-dinner drinks and didn’t have to change into flats or end up falling and breaking an ankle. Stella got her groove back ya’ll! #mommyproblems

This top is literally so old it may be on its last wear, ha! But it’s so cute, and comfortable, and looked killer with this white scalloped skirt I really couldn’t help myself! It’s really the perfect shade of blue. I dig it.

Notice my fab sunburn? I finally spent an afternoon at the beach. aaaaaahhh. It’s a crime to live so close to a beach and go as little as I do, I really waste it. Boo me. Well I hope everyone has a fantastic Friday and an even better weekend! Until next time, kisses!

Miss Fancy Pants

One of my favorite fashion trends this summer is Tropical Prints. Liz, of the blog Late Afternoon, does them SO well, she’s super inspiring! I haven’t quite found the perfect tropical print for myself yet, but I keep searching. I recently found a pair of printed pants I was OBSESSED with from a local boutique, the fit was amazing, the length was ideal, and the print was sessssy!

My husband calls these pajama pants….. rude. We were going out the other night and I had these pants on with a pink billowy crop top and he told me it looked like I was getting ready to go to bed. Needless to say I felt the need to change. I took another stab at the outfit the next day but switched out the crop top for a fitted tank. He liked this look better, hah!

A friend of ours has this fedora and when he wears it he says he’s relaxing, I call it his relaxi-hat. I decided I needed one of those. So basically, when I have my fedora on, leave me the EFF alone. :] So I’m diggin printed pants lately. I think they’re a great alternative to a dress or skirt if you’re going out. These, especially, are super light so you don’t overheat after being outside for 30 seconds. So whatcha think? Are you going to play with prints this summer or keep your wardrobe simple and classic? I’m kind of a big fan of both!

Until next time, kisses!
