Fall Favorites

I am a sucker for the fall hues; burn oranges, chocolate browns, neutrals… they are all so very easy on the eyes. At least for me, anyway. I’m usually in head to toe black about 9 months out of the year, summer included, but these few months I love to pepper in a little of these earthy colors throughout my wardrobe.

Fun fact about this moto jacket… I had a similar one from Hollister that I LOVED! It was my go-to jacket for pretty much every outfit, but the fact that it was faux leather meant it didn’t have a long shelf life. It started to crack and peel a few months ago and my mom made me throw it away, haha! She was embarrassed for me… so I was on the hunt for a similar style that I could fall just as in love with and I found it within minutes during a trip to South Moon Under. The belt around the bottom is an added bonus as well, it makes me feel just a touch more badass. It fits like a glove, it’s comfortable and warm. Well worth the seriously low price tag of just $128! *steal*

I’m in love with these pants! I didn’t think I would be because they’re so different from anything I’ve ever worn, but they’re comfortable and they’re fun. They feel like a skirt but they’re pants so you don’t have to worry about any Marilyn Monroe moments. All in all, my fall wardrobe is growing on me this year. I thought I would miss the bare skin and laid-back approach to my summer style but you may just have a changed woman on your hands.

Sea You Later

I wore a leather jacket last night and it annoyed the hell out of me. It’s May… I’m ready to ditch all of my layers and wear nothing but light dresses, skirts, crop tops, sandals, bathing suits… I’m over the layers, I tell you. OVER IT! This maxi dress from Shein is pretty perfect for the weather right now. Layers need not apply.

I have a feeling high slits are going to be my thing this summer. This dress, and another I can’t stop wearing, have the double high slits and I’m in love with it. Makes me feel all kinds of daring and fabulous, hah.

I’ll be wearing this dress all spring, it’s perfect for the weather! I love the long length and the quarter sleeves keep me a little warmer. Also! Have you guys fallen back in love with the choker trend yet? Because I’m obsessed. This beaded choker from Ettika is everything right now. I’ve worn it pretty much every other day since I got it, and I plan on wearing it all summer long. Zero apologies.

Show a Little Leg… and Back!

Happy Monday! I’ve been slacking on the blogging the past couple of weeks because I’ve lost all motivation to blog winter clothes. I may have to fly south, or west, next year to avoid this slump again. There’s only so many sweaters and winter coats I can stand to wear before I’m over it, you know? With that said, it warmed up a little bit last week and I jumped at the chance to put on a flirty little dress sans coat, tights, AND closed toes! Spring is in the air guys, get excited!

This post gives me life for so many reasons! The fact that I could walk outside with bare legs and not freeze makes me damn happy. I’ve realized over the past month I’m over wearing jeans. The struggle of trying to match a shirt and bottoms is just something I’ve lost patience for, ha. Dresses are the way to go, throw on one and forget about it, done.

I’ve been eyeing this dress from Sheinside for so long but kept putting it off because it wasn’t warm enough to wear just yet. I love the fun print and the open back. It makes it impossible to wear a bra, unless you get pasties, but as you can probably tell, I don’t really need one. Womp womp. Anyway! It’s going to be in the 60’s all week and I am dying to get out in more of these little spring ready dresses! YAY.

Vacation Daze.

So, it’s November. When did that happen and how can we slow time down? I suppose we can’t. BUT, we can hop on a plane and get the hell out of here when it gets too cold. When the weather starts to cool down to unbearable temperatures we can always take comfort in the fact that the beach and an ice cold margarita are only a quick plane ride away. I mean, unless of course you’re me, and have 2 kids and a business to run. In my case, I have no choice but to grit my teeth and bare it, HA. Normally I would wear an outfit like this with comfortable flip flops. I wore this on vacation in New Port, and I knew we would be wandering around town all day. HOWEVER, my two evil puppies decided that my absolute favorite GAP flip flops would be their afternoon snack one day. I hate them sometimes. Anyway, I was forced to up my game when it came to my footwear due to my dogs insatiable need to eat anything and everything in front of them, but it’s ok. These are some of the most comfortable shoes I own and it allowed me to step outside of my comfort zone for the day.

I am a Jersey girl through and through. I have been raised that way and I will continue to bleed “dirty” NJ water until I die. I grew up “at the shore” (a phrase that still makes me cringe thanks to MTV) and I am going to go out on a limb and say that as long as I have anything to do with it, I will never move, HA. Sorry babe, we’re never moving back up north….ever. The only other place I would consider relocating to is California. It is such an attractive state, on the coast, and I need to be within 5 miles of a beach at all times, even in the winter. ANYWAY! My point is, whenever I travel I always bring with me my custom NJ necklace from Moon & Lola. It’s my favorite little piece of home whenever I’m not near it.
