Jump into Jumpsuits with Nikki Poulos

Last year as the summer came to a close I realized I did not have nearly enough light and airy sun dresses for the sweltering days when you’d honestly rather just go naked. This year I made a promise to myself to stock my closet with these very dresses, so I pretty much assumed they would be my wardrobe this summer and boy how wrong I was! I’ve been living in jumpsuits and billowy pants this whole time. I’m not mad at it.

I love the versatility that jumpsuits offer, they’re such a fun alternative to maxi dresses or regular pants. This jumpsuit by Nikki Poulos is one of the softest, most comfortable garments I’ve ever worn. I love the tie around the waist which really accentuates your curves and reaaaallllly gives the illusion of a much tinier waist, ha!

I kept my accessories relatively simple because the print is sooo bold I didn’t want to overwhelm anyone… or myself with a whole bunch going on, ha. The Roman Luxe necklace is my jam guys! I love the thick acrylic chain and gorgeous crystal flower. This particular necklace is no longer available but I’ve linked to some similar styles above. Happy shopping!

White Hot Summer

My husband and I went out for a date night over the weekend and it was an incredibly beautiful night! One of those nights you don’t need to even consider bringing a jacket because it’s not going to cool off. I got a little taste of summer and I’m so excited. It was the perfect night to throw on my new white jumpsuit from Juno Boutique.

I’m big into jumpsuits lately. They can be quite tricky because the fit has to be borderline perfect or else it could be horribly unflattering and unforgiving. I’ve tried on a million since last year and this is the first one I have fallen in love with. I had one from ASOS’s maternity line that I wore throughout my entire pregnancy with Kennedy and I’ve tried to wear it a few times since then and it just looked silly, ha. So I’m glad I’ve found another one I love!

Ok I know you have heard me say this a million times, but I’m keeping this necklace from Rocksbox… seriously this time. I say that about everything they send me but surprisingly the earrings I’m wearing here are the only things I’ve kept so far. I’m adding the necklace to that short list. When I tried this jumpsuit on in the store I walked out of the dressing room having a full blown J. Lo moment, I felt so damn fabulous, haha. It was perfect for a fancy schmancy date night with the hubs. I haven’t played with it myself yet but I feel like this jumpsuit in particular could probably be dressed down, too. May have to challenge myself with this one!
