You know that little, witty joke, “I’ll stop wearing black when they make a darker color.” That’s not really a witty joke. I always find myself coming back to black. It’s the perfect color. Or…the perfect lack of color? Ponder that.

I have to note, quickly, that all of the shoes I’ve worn on here from Charlotte Russe have been recent purchases, but they’re not on their website. Who knows why, but they are available in stores if you’re looking for my exact shoes!
I was not at all prepared for the weather to get as hot as it has while I’m pregnant. It’s only been a few days really, but I figured, I’m due mid May, it won’t be too hot, I’ll be good! I owned zero short dresses from my first pregnancy. As I’ve posted before, my body was WAY different with baby #1. I was huge. I was super self conscious so I never wore anything that showed my legs, leaving me entirely unprepared for this pregnancy. This is one of two items I purchased this time around that is short and wearable in this heat!
WATCH: MICHELLE || BRACELET: DAVID YURMAN
I bought this dress in the beginning of my pregnancy. I loved it so much I bought in a medium since they didn’t have it in my size. I knew I’d have to wait to wear it, one, for it to get warm enough, and two, for it to fit me, ha. Now that my bump is much bigger it fits much better. It’s still a little loose in certain areas but the drawstring helps a lot. Only 2 days left ya’ll! Well actually I had my last doctor’s appointment yesterday and they think I’ll go on or right around my due date, but not before. The suspense is killing me!!
The weather in New Jersey has been so back and forth recently. One day it’s nearly 70 degrees and I’m in a dress and sandals, the next it’s 40 and cloudy and I don’t want to leave the house. On those nicer days, I can’t wait to pack up my little one and enjoy the warm weather outdoors somewhere while it’s here!

The ‘Michael Jackson’ jacket is really growing on me, ha. It is proving to be an excellent jacket for spring! It’s heavy enough to keep me warm when I’m not wearing a ton of other layers, but it’s light enough to not overwhelm me when the sun is burning bright! I’m also thoroughly enjoying this skirt from ASOS! I love that it’s not tight, but full and feminine. Just be careful wearing a skirt like this on a windy day… I had quite a few unwelcome Marilyn Monroe moments!
Isn’t my boog such a little cutie? We were really embracing the wind on this day, hah! One of those days when you just give up on trying to keep your hair looking well kept at all, it’s just not even worth it! ALSO! My Pink Blush Maternity giveaway ended yesterday, and although she’s already been contacted I wanted to publicly congratulate my winner, Jennie! I hope you enjoy your gift card and your fabulous new purchase! Thanks so much to everyone who entered!!
Here’s another casual look with these leggings. Are you tired of seeing them yet? haha!

I just want to point out that I am 100% aware from looking at the past week of posts that I don’t have enough color in my wardrobe. However, it’s not entirely my fault. I’m limited to maternity clothes right now, and to be honest, there’s just not a whole lot of possibilities there. I do find some key pieces every now and then, but us mothers-to-be really get the shaft when it comes to stylish clothes. Once the warmer weather hits I’ll do better to wear more color, promise!
I’m running out of clever things to say about these leggings… but here they’re worn in a super casual look. Can’t go wrong with a white t-shirt and chucks. Pregnant or not, white t’s are typically my go-to. My closet somewhat resembles Doug Funny’s, but I’m ok with it. Side note… I do have a giveaway coming up for you guys soon! However, I’m having a boat load of trouble with the Rafflecopter app. It just doesn’t seem to want to work with my blog. SO as soon as I get that figured out it’s comin for ya! Stay tuned ;]
This past weekend my mother-in-law hosted the most beautiful baby shower for my husband’s cousin, who is due next month! Also attending the shower was another cousin on his side who is due in July! You might say we have baby fever, ha. It was such a lovely afternoon, I love family get togethers, and even more so when there is an adorable theme, like babies!

I really love this necklace… It has become my go-to statement necklace. I love that it’s actually from their Bridal line. It proves that Bridal jewelry can really be the most versatile! The fact that you can wear it over and over makes spending any amount of money on it not seem so bad. However, I’ll let you in on a little secret… this bridal jewelry will not break your bank! Praise the wedding gods! Words can’t express how happy I am that I found a well-lit area of the house to take pictures inside! It’s just too damn cold for me outside to take any pictures these days. Womp womp! I can’t wait for warm weather, I get giddy just thinking about! Anyway… here are a couple pictures from the shower itself!
Me, Heather, and Tara. The three of us are the expecting cousins! haha. ..It was Heather’s big day! She’s due next month. I can’t wait to meet her little nugget!! My husband’s side of the family is growing fast! So many babies.
How cute are these?! For a “champagne” toast! My mother-in-law is a wizard of her craft! She even made little tea sandwiches that she cut with cookie cutters in the shapes of ducks, teddy bears, and baby bottles! I’m so sad I didn’t get a picture of those, they were too cute for words. So that’s all folks! I have a giveaway coming up for you guys soon, cause I just love ya so much! So keep an eye out for that. In the meantime, have a great Monday, it’s almost over!
Hello my loves! So I decided to make this video because when I first got pregnant I was super stoked about shopping for maternity clothes. I mean, let’s face it, it’s just an excuse to go shopping, right? I needed clothes I can fit into! The hubs can’t argue with that, haha. But to be honest, I had no idea what I was doing. It seems like a pretty simple concept, but it’s not. All maternity clothes fit differently, some better than others. These are just a few of my do’s and dont’s for young first time moms like me. I hope you find these tips helpful! Let me know if you guys have any questions. Peace, loves.
