The Michael Jackson Jacket

Eh Ho Hooo! I’ve had this jacket since last summer and I really love it, but I don’t wear it that often because I’m pretty sure I evoke the spirit of Michael Jackson every time I put it on.

WOWZER. Holy bump, right?!

These pants should be put under the ‘sleep wear’ section of the Asos website. I know maternity clothes are notorious for being comfortable in general, but these are on a whole different level. I snagged a few pairs just like these in different prints to last me through the entire pregnancy. They’re perfect for dressing down with a simple t-shirt and flats when I’m feeling casual, or dressing up with a tank & heels when I need to step out somewhere a little nicer (as seen here!)

Too Much Black & White?

Often times during #StyleChat I see people ask the question, “is there such a thing as too much black and white?” While this subject is clearly a matter of opinion, as is everything when it comes to personal style, for me I say NO! There is no such thing as too much black or too much white. I mean, look at my blog, they’re two of my favorite colors. My one style tip, however, is you do need to break up the monochromatic look with some pop of color. Whether it be with bright shoes, a statement handbag, a chunky colorful necklace, sleek sunglasses, or a bright lip or manicure, there needs to be some touch of color.

Normally I’d probably pair this with a crystal statement necklace, but I’m thinking outside the box with color this time around!

This is probably my favorite outfit of the moment! This dress is not maternity, but the material is so forgiving, the length isn’t super short, and the hem around the waist falls perfectly above my bump. It almost looks like a maternity dress and it’s SO comfortable! The fabric is pretty heavy so it keeps me surprisingly warm right now. image-54 image-55 image-56 SO. In conclusion, there is no such thing as too much black and white, but as the temperatures start to rise have some fun and add unexpected pops of color. Go my route with a bright necklace and lip, or mix it up with a neon manicure and a bright hued bag, like a mini speedy from Rebecca Minkoff!

Monday… Boo you whore.

The title says it all. I’ve been so tired lately, I think I’m probably not drinking enough water. And since I’m tired I automatically assume I need more coffee. If you cut me open I’m sure a Dunkin Iced Coconut light and sweet would come out. Or a Starbucks “grande iced vanilla coffee with breve.” I feel like an asshole just typing that! ANYWHO. The point is, I’m tired, and that makes Monday a whore.

NMS_4477_2Brandy Melville is a sassy little bitch, isn’t she? I kind of love it. You can’t sit with us was just too mild of a shirt for me. I wanted to get a top that read “fancy as fuck,” because.. I mean… I am. But I was told by several people it was inappropriate for a mother. Psh, lame asses.

Oddly enough this outfit was super comfortable. Wore it all day and then night while out to dinner and drinks with a girlfriend of mine. We stupidly chose to dine in Asbury right near the Stone Pony, and they were having a huge show that night. Needless to say, the parking situation was less than ideal. This outfit may be made for walking but these shoes  certainly were not!

I’m not a huge crop top person… I do own a few, and have had a few since before I was ever preggo. A good rule of thumb with crop tops is the higher they are, the higher your pants/skirt/shorts should be. You don’t want to show too much, it’s just trashy. They also look cute over a maxi dress or under overalls. Which are apparently back in style, and I kinda love it. I really loved the 90’s. I was in my awkward prime. I’m glad it’s coming back and I can take another stab at the fashion! hah. Well I hope you had a wonderful weekend. Don’t let Monday get you down! There’s always Margarita Monday to cheer you up and look forward to!  ;] Until next time, kisses!
