It is never too soon to start planning your Holiday wardrobe. During the few weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas the days fly by and all of the Christmas festivities seem to sneak up on me. I like to get a head start in my outfit planning so when the holiday actually rolls around I can focus on the more important things. This year my eyes are drawn to a lot of similar styles as last year: velvet, lace, deep, rich hues.

I found this dress while shopping for something to wear to a late November wedding. I ended up not attending the wedding, but it’s ok, because I think it’s perfect for the holidays anyway!
I’m obsessed with the color and fit of this dress. In a certain light the black almost looks like a very deep, rich navy blue. I actually stared at it for a long time hanging in my room when I was trying to figure out which shoes to wear with it because I couldn’t really say with 100% confidence that it was definitely black and not blue, haha. Eventually I went with the nude heel… just to be safe! If you also haven’t noticed by now, I never miss an opportunity to wear my little moto jacket with anything feminine. I love the contrast between feminine and edge.
Unfortunately, Molly & Zoey doesn’t have an online store, so I browsed the web and found some of my favorite little black lace dresses that are comparable in both style & price! Happy shopping!

I bought this dress a few months back when I was on the hunt for the perfect dress to wear to a wedding. Originally I wanted a gown, but gave it a second thought. I wasn’t sure how many times I could get away with wearing a floor length gown and I didn’t want to spend the money on something I’d wear once or twice. When I found this dress it didn’t scream BUY ME BUY ME from the hanger, but I tried it on anyway and fell in love. This was a dress I knew I’d get my moneys worth from.
DRESS: NIRVANA (ON SALE NOW!!) || SHOES: CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN || BAG: FOREVER21 (similar) || RING: C/O ROMAN & SUNSTONE (no longer available, similar here) || EARRINGS: C/O SINN STYLE || LIPSTICK: NARS ‘HEATWAVE‘
I tried on dresses with one of my best friends who also had a wedding to attend and when I first came out in this dress the consensus was, ‘eh.’ However, I stood outside my dressing room in front of 3 full length mirrors and stared at myself for a solid 5 minutes… maaaaybe even twirled and posed a little bit, and the more we stared at it the more we loved it. It’s made of neoprene fabric, which is basically a dress made out of wetsuit material, so it’s perfect for the cooler months. I stayed extremely toasty all night long! Just don’t expect to go outside and not need some sort of coverup, it’s not that warm, but for an indoor Christmas party? Perfection.
These earrings are everything! When I received them I was so excited and knew immediately I was going to pair them with this dress. At the wedding I styled my hair with vintage curls to one side and wore long statement earrings, so I knew these would be perfect for the Christmas party. A little black dress, a vintage do, red lip, and statement earrings are all you need for a flawless holiday look this year!
Look who photobombed my shoot, as usual. She was like Mom, I haven’t been on your blog in like 2 weeks, move over bye. Don’t worry guys! You’ll see her soon too, promise.
So! If you have a fabulous, glamorous holiday party coming up next week, why not try a look like this? This is not the kind of outfit you want to dress down. Go for the glam gold with this one. ;]
