It’s almost officially summer, which means there’s going to be A LOT of two pieces all over the place. HOWEVER, I’m really feelin a different kind of “two-piece” lately. Behold; the matching set!

One of my favorite FAVORITE things about this outfit is that you can easily dress it up for a classy look a la the classic strappy heels and pearl necklace as seen above, or amp up the sex appeal with just the change of a few key accessories. I will be wearing it both ways this summer, I can promise you that!
Out of everything I picked out on the Tobi website, this was my favorite outfit. (Remember the tuxedo dress and jumpsuit?) I will say the pants are a little tight in the upper thigh area, but the rest fit well. If you’re feeling pretty badass this would be an excellent look to wear to a work event. Maybe not the office, but an after hours event? Go for it! ;]
With my new career I’ve started changing the way I shop. I have to be smarter about what I spend money on and make sure it has a lot of wearability. This little red dress from Closet London stuck out to me because it’s wearable for a variety of different occasions. I can wear this to the office, weddings, holiday parties… pretty much anything!
CLOSET LONDON DRESS C/O || JESSICA SIMPSON HEELS || MOLLY & ZOEY BAG || CHANEL SHADES
This dress is so soft! It’s not one of those fits-like-a-glove dresses, which I’m actually pretty happy about. Sometimes I really need a break from sucking in all the time, hah!
The ties around the shoulder actually tie, which is lovely because it makes them adjustable! Also, it has pockets. Which is a win in my book. I am a firm believer that everything should have pockets. This dress is going to be perfect to get me through the next few months! I’ll be wearing it A LOT.
My least favorite thing about the winter months is having to carry around a heavy coat wherever you go.When spring comes along and it’s not quite warm enough for a tank top and shorts but you just can’t bare the thought of lugging along a jacket anymore, long sweaters are my go-to.
H&M SWEATER || FOREVER21 SHORTS & CHOKER || TARGET HEELS || REBECCA MINKOFF BAG || CHANEL SHADES (similar) || ROMAN LUXE RING ℅
I love the look of a long sweater over shorts with a little lace for this peek-a-boo affect. It adds a little bit of elegance to an otherwise every-day look.
Side note: You all need these shoes! I went into Target to pick up a gift and left with these shoes… does that not happen to everyone every time you go in there? Damn you Target. Anyway. I could’t wait to wear them so I threw them on with the outfit I was wearing to dinner (which you’ll see in my next post) and they were so easy to wear all night! They’re high so I was a little bit nervous they would be challenging to walk in but the platform in the front helps and they’re very comfortable. And not to mention they were less than $30… so treat yo’self.
Last week on the blog I showed you guys my family photos that we shot recently to celebrate mine and Matt’s 5th year wedding anniversary. If you missed them, check it out here and here! I was fortunate enough to be gifted the stunning lace dress by the ladies at Lulu’s, but to my surprise they threw in another dress just in case we had time to shoot a second look. Unfortunately we didn’t… wah! But I was able to wear the dress later, just for you guys! It is stunning and perfect and I could not wait to photograph it!

I nearly died when I opened my package from Lulu’s and saw this dress. Originally I had planned to wear this one to take our family photos, which you can kind of tell from the matching dress Kennedy wore. Unfortunately I couldn’t find a pleated dress for Charlotte in time to match, so I opted for the white lace dress instead so we looked crisp in the same color, but different styles and textures. This dress though, I am in love with the soft pink color and the gold built-in necklace to hold it all together. It’s way more feminine than what I’m used to wearing which is why I chose to pair it with a leather jacket, black aviators, and a skull clutch…of course.
Don’t you just LOVE the movement of this dress? It’s so gorgeous! However I will say that it is not designed for petite girls. I’m about 5’4″ and even with heels on I continually found myself stepping on it or having to hike it up past my knees to walk. But it’s kind of one of those dresses that is so amazing you just deal with it, ya know? I mean… you could get it hemmed but I’m lazy. You can also see in a few photos above that we had a few expert photo bombers during this shoot. I seriously always forget that there’s other shit going on around me when I’m doing blog shoots, haha. The other day I was taking pictures against an office building and I was leaning against the wall and turned my head and there was a guy sitting at his desk about 2 feet away from me staring at me like “wtf is happening here?” ha! Forever cracks me up. Anyway! Special thank you to Lulu’s for being so damn amazing! And to Drew (my photographer) for teaching me all the little things about cameras and photography as we do this. He’s such a great teacher and obviously has a great eye!

Eh Ho Hooo! I’ve had this jacket since last summer and I really love it, but I don’t wear it that often because I’m pretty sure I evoke the spirit of Michael Jackson every time I put it on.

WOWZER. Holy bump, right?!
These pants should be put under the ‘sleep wear’ section of the Asos website. I know maternity clothes are notorious for being comfortable in general, but these are on a whole different level. I snagged a few pairs just like these in different prints to last me through the entire pregnancy. They’re perfect for dressing down with a simple t-shirt and flats when I’m feeling casual, or dressing up with a tank & heels when I need to step out somewhere a little nicer (as seen here!)
