Wednesday Worst!

I think this particular Wednesday Worst is going to be pretty split with my audience. Some of you may agree, some of you may not. Let’s get started.

HAYDEN PANETTIERE

hayden-panettiere-290Glamour Magazine was tweeting about her hair this morning, but I only saw the hair, not the rest of the look. So we’ll start there. To be honest, I wasn’t crazy about it. As sleek as the braid is, the top looks kind of messy to me. She has tight, tight pin curls all around her hairline and crown, which I’m sure was supposed to look trendy, but reads kind of “I just got my hair cornrowed on the beach.” I’m a fan of bandage dresses and the jewel-tone color of this dress is quite pleasing to my eyes. But at first glance it looks somewhat like a tacky prom dress, no? Pair it with her clunky black shoes and it’s ALL wrong. If I were her, I would have gone with some metallic strappy sandals to play up the embellishments in the dress. Jimmy Choo has some extremely fabulous ones! She did one thing right by playing it safe with the accessories, so kudos for that!

Friday Fav!

Remkerirussell11ember this girl? The oh-so awkward and sad Felicity? I was obsessed with that show, but not so much with her. Being that I am a victim of curly/frizzy hair myself, I watched in total agony every time this girl was on screen… like… why couldn’t someone get you a blowdryer? I know it was a late 90’s show and the frizzy hair wasn’t a HUGE issue in fashion yet, but whatever. I suppose that is beside the point. Keri Russell kind of came and went, didn’t she? I’m glad she made a comeback. First in August Rush, then in some Lifetime movies about Pie or something… now in The Americans [awesome show on FX, if you didn’t know] and she is hotter than ever! Check this out.

keri-russell-290um… MEOW. I love it. Everything about this. [except the fact that it looks like she has a broken ankle down there.. what the hell is that? Super uncomfortable looking!] Anywho. It is seriously so difficult to wear a leather mini dress, am I wrong? I’ve been 100% honest about my feelings on leather; you have to practically be a supermodel to pull it off… even though I own leather leggings… I’m very shy about wearing them! ha. This dress fits her like a little leather winter glove. If you guys saw Olivia Palermo in her leather dress not long ago, it looked like a big frumpy Hefty bag. Which is so weird to me because she hardly ever wears anything poorly, but apparently it’s possible. So when buying anything leather, make sure it’s flattering! Her smokey-eye-like makeup kind of gives her an uber sexy look without looking like she’s about to spank you with a big paddle. Simple black pumps, and an easy side-part blowout ties this look all together. I’m a big fan, and it kind of makes me want to go out and buy a leather dress. I won’t. But I want to.

Friday Fav!

I would just like to point out that I managed to post on this bad boy EVERY DAY this week! I deserve a cookie. And I think I’ll have one. boom.

Victoria Justice

I know she’s like somewhat of a Disney star or something  and people are going to freak out saying she’s dressed way too scandalously or whatever, but hot damn does she look good! She’s 20, she’s growing up, she can wear whatever she wants. She reminds me of Camilla Belle here, no? Little bit. Anyway, to me this is head-to-toe perfection. I love, love, love the print of this mini dress! It’s short but has a high neckline so she’s showing a ton of leg but not too much of anything else. She has an absolutely flawless blowout, perfect red lip, chandelier earrings, and hott black pumps. I don’t know if you can tell I’m drooling from reading this, but I am, haha. Amazing, seriously. If I had legs like her’s I’d rarely ever wear clothes from the waist down. Kudos, Victoria!

Hope everyone has a great weekend! The hubs and I are hitting up a Grace Potter concert tonight! Totally stoked on it. I’ll try to post about it this weekend, as I’m sure it will be an awesome show. She never, ever disappoints! Until next time, kisses!

Wednesday Worst!

Ok… let’s all ignore the fact that I really, really can’t stand Ginnifer Goodwin or anything about her ever for a hot minute, what she wore recently is hideous. Even for a little school boy from the cold, dark streets of London. Check it.

I know this is awful, but if you’re going to look like a boy, literally from head to toe, can you try to amp up the femininity just a little bit? Or at all? Please? Is that too much to ask? I mean really a little pop of color on the lip, if anything. Here’s the thing… I dig the shorts. I love the cobalt blue, it’s such a fun color to play with. HOWEVER, the matching blazer buttoned all the way the hell up? ICK. It’s so ill fitting and the white piping makes her look like Elton John. Oh I can’t stand looking at it. Some trends I really can’t get on board with and the shorts suit is one of them. I’m sorry Ginnifer but this is a major fashion fail for me.

Was that mean? I kind of felt like it was… but I really can’t stand her… sorry I’m not sorry? Ok, I am.. a little. Don’t let it happen again Ginnifer! And cover up your knobby knees, lord.

I mean, take a tip from Emma Watson. She went in for the kill and chopped off all her gorgeous locks into a little pixie cut, but NEVER boarders on masculine. She is the ultimate example of keeping it girly with short hair. She always looks so damn cute, doesn’t she? Take notes Ginny. Can I call you Ginny?

Friday Fav: Twilight Edition

Hola amigos! As I was sifting through this week’s red carpet looks there were two that jumped out at me right away… and they just so happened to both be worn by two of Twilight’s leading ladies. Take a gander.

Look numero uno belongs to Nikki Reed. The bitch looks amazing. And it’s such a simple ensemble isn’t it?  Like nothing too crazy going on here… simple colors, simple draping, simple hair and makeup… but I think that’s what makes it so gorgeous. SHE is so gorgeous that she could wear a damn potato sack and you’d be like, OH MY GOD did you see Nikki Reed in that sack? Gorgeous daaahling. Anyway. She seems to sparkle and she looks so happy and comfortable and I’m really digging it. Well played Ms. Reed, well played.

Speaking of ‘oh my god’ … OH MY GOD. When I saw this picture I squealed with delight a little bit. Ashley Greene is always dressed flawlessly, but she rarely has a sexy sexy quality to her ensembles. She always looks amazing but she usually teeters on the ‘cute’ side rather than ‘sexy.’ Well, she blows sexy out of the water in this dress. She should just marry Donna Karan because she can dress Ashley Greene like no other. The color of this dress with the fit and detailing of the corset  style top is to dieeee for. I want it, now. Just drool worthy, really nothing else to say about it!

Happy Friday, friends! Can you believe it’s the last weekend in October already? Where the hell does the time go? It baffles me! ANYWAY. Let’s get into my favorite look this week.

How gorgeous does she look!? I am a huge fan of little lacy black dresses. Emily VanCamp is obvi the star of Revenge. Which… I don’t watch.. but everyone says I should, hah. I am an EVC fan from Everwood, though! Anyway – back to her outfit. I LOVE the little black dress with the lace detailing and the peplum! Her shoes are hott too. I dig the simple hair, smokey eye makeup, and the little pop of color with her clutch. She looks gorge, I love it! What do you guys think?

Wednesday Worst!

I’m going to say this bluntly… there were so many hideous outfits on the red carpet recently that I was challenged to pick just one. However, I’m going to go with the one that caught my eye originally. It may be because I’m currently anti-K. Stew for her recent tryst with a married man while she was dating my beloved Edward, but I found her outfit at a Breaking Dawn Part 2 premier in Tokyo heinous. Please take a gander.

She looks like a wall of a circus funhouse. Now, let me just throw this out there, I do love her hair and her makeup, it’s very true to her style. Simple hair, bold eyes, typical K. Stew. But the heels? Not typical K. Stew. And they look horribly uncomfortable. And if you can tell shoes look uncomfortable just by looking at them… yikes. Anyway, back to this frock she is not-so rocking. What in god’s name is that? If it were just a top… with solid black shorts, I might actually like it. But the color-blocking all over the place does not work for this piece. At least for me. How do you guys feel about it? Let me know!

Wednesday Worst!

Afternoon babes! You’re in luck today. Thanks to this rain we’re getting pounded with here in NJ, I have time to update the blog today. Usually in the afternoons I try to take the baby for walks on the beach, she LOVES it outside. But alas, we’re stuck indoors today. So as she naps, I blog. Lovely. Let’s kick off this week’s entry with a little Wednesday Worst.

Starring: Rashida Jones. 

So… let me just start by saying, I don’t hate everything about this look. Well, I mean, maybe I do. I don’t hate the dress, and I don’t hate the blazer. But the fact that she paired these together? That I’m hating. The dress, as far as I can tell, looks absolutely gorgeous. It’s definitely something I would wear. Maxi’s are in, keyholes are in, black is always in. The dress is a DO. However, this ill-fitting blazer she has thrown over it? Makes the whole outfit look a tad…. frumpy? I think that’s the right word to describe this getup. Maybe if she chose a blazer of a different color? Something to add a little pop to the ensemble? Especially since she chose a dress that sweeps the floor and doesn’t show a hint of shoe, which could have added a little bit of versatility with the colors here. So overall, I like the pieces, but separately. When these two items are thrown together it looks sloppy and rushed to me. If the blazer was a little more tailored it could have worked but it’s not, so sadly this outfit is a major fail for me.

Are you watching the Olympics this week? So exciting isn’t it!? This is really the first year I’ve been super into it… I have even been going as far to record certain events I can’t miss. Sad! Being a swimmer I’m obsessed with the swimming and diving events. I get major anxiety watching the swimmers race and the divers approach the edge of the platform. So scary but I majorly envy these athletes. I can’t imagine the determination and dedication it takes to make it where they are. Major props, and of course, go USA! :]

Someone remind me to make time to post on Friday because I have two people who I want to post as my Friday Favs and it would be such a waste if I forget! K thanks, love you bye!
