Casual Fridays

I don’t work in an office, but if I did I think I’d actually really love it. I work from home, so dressed up for me is matching my snuggie to my pajamas. Add being pregnant into the mix and I’ve given up the will to look cute all together. Working in an office would give me some motivation to dress up. I mean, unless it’s the company I worked for before I started my own company. In which case, they sold flip flops and we were encouraged to dress like we were basically going to the beach. I can’t win. In any event, I got dressed today. Let’s celebrate!

ALSO! Peep my new hair! I decided to cut it on a whim and add in some highlights and ombre again. I am beyond fickle when it comes to my hair and the thought of cutting it used to make me a little weepy. I knew it had to be done though, and I’m pretty glad I stuck to my guns and didn’t chicken out. My locks needed a cut, BAD.

I really dig these warm fall days, even if it is November 22nd and it should basically be snowing by now. Global Warming is real, but the less time I have to spend trying to look comfortable in a big bulky coat the better. This sweater is one of my favorites. It’s chunky, BUT there’s big enough holes in the knitting that it can pretty much be worn all year round. I throw a long sleeve under it for cooler months and wear it over a tank top when it’s warmer.

I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend. I’m looking forward to unwinding a little but I’m also really looking forward to getting in the Christmas spirit! I just really can’t wait to decorate our new house, haha! Well, until next time, kisses!

The Scenic Route

I live in such a pretty area, I love exploring! I’ve lived in the same time my whole life [save for a few years in College and after I move next month!] but I still feel like there’s so much to see here… like this gaawwwwwwgous waterfront in Red Bank. My husband used to go fishing here with his Grandfather all the time when he was young, but I didn’t even know it existed!

That “little” white house behind me? Yeah, that’s Bon Jovi’s. No big deal. And by little house I really mean small compound.

I love the color of this dress. It looks perfect with my skin color since I can’t seem to catch a tan for my life! Thank goodness for Arbonne’s sunless tanner! It’s a life saver. (I’m on my 3rd bottle since April… don’t judge me).

The small gold square ring is actually a pinky ring! Unfortunately, or fortunately depending on how ya look at it, it doesn’t fit on my pinky! It’s too big :[ It only fits on one finger… my left ring finger. Figures! But I love it so much sometimes I wear it instead of my wedding rings… my husband hates it, but he just doesn’t understand what us women do for the love of fashion!

These earrings are known as “The pair that goes anywhere.” So versatile and perfect! Don’t mind my necklace here… I switched it out before I left, hah. Anyway! It’s a crappy day here in NJ, so I’m planning a fun shoot for later! Stay tuned ;] Until next time, kisses!

Now You See Me…

Now you don’t! That’s the general rule of thumb when you see someone wearing camo, right? You have to make some kind of joke about how you can’t see them, or a hunting joke. It’s almost a little bit of a shocker if someone doesn’t make some cheesy comment like that. When I wore camo pants this weekend I was armed and ready for some jokes to be thrown my way!

My husband and I typically stop for coffee each and every weekend morning. We’ll load Charlotte up in the car, stop and get coffee and a mobile breakfast, then drive around for a little while. This weekend we decided to stop at Starbucks and walk the Grove since it was kind of nice out in the morning. That is where I found these pants and sunglasses that I’m newly obsessed with. The pants speak for themselves, you can literally see in pictures how comfortable they are. Definitely a great investment. Come fall I’ll be excited to pair them with a cream sweater and some low boots, yum. These sunglasses are fantastic because I feel like they’re a morph of two trends, round & cat’s eye. They’re not 100% round, but they’re not 100% cat’s eyes either. They’re so fun.

This weekend we had a birthday celebration for my husband & his best friend, who were born a week apart and who have been celebrating their birthday’s together since they were 11! How freaking cute is that? We went out on a big “pirate ship” for the day, to which I wore flat sandals to be comfortable, then switched into these shoes and headed into town for pizza, drinks, and eventually more drinks and dancing, ha! We had a blast. You can see a better view of the sunglasses in the picture below.

See what I mean about the shape? Super versatile. Anyway… How was your weekend loves? Until next time, kisses!
